Radio Lollipop Edinburgh has received \u00a31500 of funds from Clydesdale Bank. Volunteer Elaine Craig is an employee of the bank and gave a presentation to her colleagues about the work of the charity in order to secure part of the cash raised during the auction of rare banknotes.<\/p>\n
A Scottish \u00a31 banknote from 1836, sold for a world record price of \u00a39,000. The auction also included collectable notes from a series of new World Heritage designs as well as historic notes and raised \u00a3112,830.<\/p>\n
The funds are being used to help over 70 charities including Radio Lollipop.<\/p>\n
