Next weekend promises to be a memorable weekend as Partick Thistle celebrate 100 years at Firhill & Radio Lollipop as been invited to join the celebrations.<\/p>\n
Firhill first opened its doors on September 19th 1909 marking the occasion with a 3-1 win against Dumbarton Harp.<\/p>\n
With next Saturday’s match with Dunfermline the closest game to the 100th anniversary of Firhill’s opening a whole host of events are planned to mark the occasion.<\/p>\n
Running from 11am there will be a number of events, aimed primarily at families, taking place in the car park outside the Jackie Husband Stand.<\/p>\n

Face Painting
\nCoconut Shy
\nBeat the Goalie
\nOther Kids Stalls with prizes to be won
\nPhotographs with PeeTee the Club Mascot
\nMeet Cat Harvey from Real radio
\nRadio Lollipop Road Show
\nJuggler\/clown
\nCaricaturist
\nPhotographs with Thistle players
\nMeet former players from 1971 era
\nBBQ
\nCandy Floss
\nMusical entertainment by Sheboom
\nMarquee for soft drinks, teas and coffees
\nCentenary Fund stall
\nStreet Rugby from Glasgow Warriors
\nA primary schools mini soccer tournament involving 4 local schools
\nThe tea and coffee stall will be run by Macmillan Cancer Support and all proceeds from that will go to their charity.<\/p>\n
A fire tender from the local Maryhill fire station will also be in attendance and children will be welcome to view all the equipment and get their picture taken with the fire fighters<\/p>\n
