December got a little bit brighter at Yorkhill hospital today with the annual switch-on of the Christmas tree lights.<\/p>\n
Despite the cold weather many of the patients were allowed out of their wards to come and see Barry Ferguson, Glasgow Rangers and Scotland International footballer, do the honours.<\/p>\n
After the all-important switch-on Barry stayed to have pictures taken and give autographs to patients, hospital staff, members of the public and a massive dog!<\/p>\n
Once again, Radio Lollipop was there to supply the music and a buffet was supplied by the hospital.<\/p>\n
A good night was had by all, the tree will continue to warm up the front entrance of the hospital throughout the festive period.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
