‘Sweet Stories in the Pop’ is a storytelling project by storytellers Daryll Bellingham and Alex <\/p>\n
McCallum who told and created stories in the Radio Lollipop Studio and the children’s wards of the Mater South Brisbane Hospital with children and the ‘Thrilling Thursday Team’ of volunteers during November 2001.<\/p>\n
The project has been made possible by an International Year of the Volunteer Grant to the Queensland Storytelling Guild.<\/p>\n
The aims of the project are to:
\n– entertain patients, family and volunteers,
\n– to support and assist volunteers
\n– to encourage and support patients to create and tell their own stories, and
\n– to explore and demonstrate the value of storytelling in the hospital setting.<\/p>\n
