Glasgow\u0092s Volunteer Team took to the streets in July for the Lord Provost\u0092s Procession. With help from What Everyone Wants, the float had everything from giant inflatable bananas to GIANT
\nmicrophones and headphones. They were one of
\nthe few organisations who got a commendation
\nfrom the city\u0092s Lord Provost.<\/p>\n
Also, volunteers took part in the Rotary Club of
\nGlasgow\u0092s \u0091Charifun\u0092 day in the city\u0092s Kelvingrove
\nPark. Radio Lollipop provided the majority of the
\nentertainment, with presenters broadcasting from
\nmany strange places including bouncy castles and
\nchildren\u0092s rides. With frantic selling of stock and face painting, a great time \u0096 as usual \u0096 was had by all.<\/p>\n
Fundraiser Avril Nicolson masterminded a very
\nsuccessful raffle over the summer. Facing major
\nproblems like a huge delay in receiving a gaming
\nlicense from the city council, it looked like the raffle might have been a flop, but Avril\u0092s tremendous efforts meant that it was a huge success. With big prizes such as tickets to sell-out Robbie Williams and Tom Jones concerts, the raffle raised in excess of \u00a32000.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
