This week is National Volunteers Week. Radio Lollipop Brisbane Volunteer Shirley Murray has been featured in the Children’s Health Queensland Hospital and Health Service Facebook page.<\/p>\n
Meet Shirley, who is this month celebrating 18 years of volunteering with Radio Lollipop. As a team leader, Shirley prepares arts and crafts, organises the volunteers and entertains patients. Her team describe her affectionately as \u201csomeone who knows exactly how to make children smile.\u201d<\/p>\n
Shirley says she thoroughly enjoys meeting the children and helping them get creative with crafts at their bedside and in the playroom: \u201cI have many favourite memories with the children, their families and the past and present Radio Lollipop volunteers,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
