{"id":14484,"date":"2015-12-13T01:55:11","date_gmt":"2015-12-13T01:55:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/radiolollipop.org\/?p=14484"},"modified":"2016-01-15T16:59:08","modified_gmt":"2016-01-15T16:59:08","slug":"gold-coast-radio-lollipop-are-visited-by-former-nrl-star-scott-prince","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.radiolollipop.org\/?p=14484","title":{"rendered":"Gold Coast Radio Lollipop are visited by former NRL star Scott Prince"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Terrific Tuesday Gold Coast team were recently paid a special visit by former NRL football player <a class=\"profileLink\" href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/pages\/Scott-Prince\/109555885736878\">Scott Prince<\/a> and Coomera State High School Deputy Principle Dave Hartley.<\/p>\n<p>The duo have teamed up to produce a book series specially aimed at children who are reluctant to read, engaging them with the topic of football.<\/p>\n<p>Titled <a class=\"profileLink\" href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/deadlydandjusticejones\/\">Deadly D and Justice Jones<\/a>, the series features Deadly D, a boy by day and a football legend by weekend, and Justice Jones, his friend and sidekick who <span class=\"text_exposed_show\">brings a cheekiness to the boys&#8217; daily antics.<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"text_exposed_show\">\n<p>Scott and Dave accompanied our Gold Coast volunteers around the wards, handing out their books, signed posters and t-shirts. The pair were a welcomed distraction from hospital life as they spent time with each child, sharing stories about football, school and jokes.
