A Radio Lollipop supporter had a dry January to help kick off the Southampton studio fundraising campaign.<\/p>\n
John Norman – son of long-time Radio Lollipop national support team volunteer Denise \u2013 has donated \u00a3584 towards the \u00a340,000 needed to rebuild the Southampton studio and play area.<\/p>\n
John traditionally has a booze-free January and this year established a Just Giving page to gain support from his friends and colleagues.<\/p>\n
\u201cMum has been helping out Radio Lollipop for as long as I can remember,\u201d said John, 37, who is a director of a TV and video production company.<\/p>\n
\u201cShe has a soft spot for Southampton as it was the home of the Whitbread Round the World Race that raised the original money to get Radio Lollipop Southampton established.\u201d<\/p>\n
John, who lives in Surbiton, South London, added: \u201cEvery little helps and I hope others will come up with their own fundraising ideas.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
