On the 14th July 1982 Radio Lollipop Newcastle was launched in the Fleming Memorial Children’s Hospital prior to its move to the Royal Victoria Infirmary in 1988 and then a transfer to the Great North Children’s Hospital.\u00a0 However, former staff of the Fleming have never forgotten Radio Lollipop and during a recent reunion decided to raffle a tile which had been donated and the proceeds given to Radio Lollipop Newcastle.\u00a0 The tile had been inspired by an original watercolour by a local artist and is a beautiful representation of the original building.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
