Gliding high in edinburgh
19 July 2012

It’s Flying Week at Radio Lollipop. We have special guests all this week on our live shows Monday to Friday between 6pm and 8pm. Glider pilots from RAF Kirknewton have been flying in every night to share their stories, jokes and favourite aviation themed songs.
A glider is a small plane that does not have an engine, instead it relies on pockets of rising air (called thermals) to keep it up in the air.
Craig ‘Croog’ Hilderslay from the Voluntary Gliding School was interviewed by Dougie Robertson on Tuesday and shared a giggle with another very special visitor, Jack.
We are also joined by Billy ‘Bongo’ Neish all week. Jolly came in on Wednesday, Ollie, Barry and Caroline ‘The Boss’ dropped in tonight and Susan will be in for a fantastic Friday, tomorrow the 20th July.
