Last Saturday we started our fund-raising for the year off with a bang, with the first of many Radio Lollipop sausage sizzles at Bunnings in Ashmore on the Gold Coast. What a turnout! After a day of laughs and spruiking we managed to raise just over $1500 for Radio Lollipop Gold Coast. Not only did we have great success with our fund-raising, we massively increased our awareness in the community, everyone wanted to know who we were and what we are all about.
A huge thank you to volunteers Katrina and Gary for finding the generosity of several supporters who donated practically all of the supplies for the day. We had delicious gourmet sausages, caramelized onions and icy cold drinks; we could hardly keep anyone away!
A special mention to Jess and Dougie who were there from start to finish, giving us lots of laughs with their hilarious spruiking techniques.
All in all it truly was a fantastic day, with the support of all our wonderful volunteers and their family and friends who made it possible. A big pat on the back to you all!
Thank you, thank you, thank you to our very friends at Bunnings, your support is amazing, we cant wait for our next cook up in mid June!
