Brisbane roar rocks with radio lollipop brisbane
29 November 2009

It was a huge week this week with the Brisbane Roar Mascot “Roary” and players Michael Zullo and Mitch Nichols coming into the Radio Lollipop studio for an on-air interview and then a visit to the wards.

It was a quiet night on the wards (this is good, because this means less sick children in hospital) but we still managed to make lots of noise and have loads of fun with Roary and the boys signing autographs and having photo’s taken with the kids.

Some of the very lucky families also received free passes to see the next Brisbane Roar home game against the Wellington Phoenix on Sunday night.

On Sunday night Radio Lollipop also held a fundraiser at the Brisbane Roar game making and selling Orange and Maroon Brisbane Roar balloon swords. Over $630 was raised in just over 90 minutes.

A huge thank you to the Brisbane Roar for their ongoing support of Radio Lollipop and to the volunteers who made this fundraiser a success.

Check out our photo of some of our Terrific Tuesday night volunteers (L-R) Paul, Kate, Roary, Pete and Ali.
