Radio lollipop bristol and young bristol team up to make a film about volunteering
10 August 2009

The organisation ‘Young Bristol’, part of the national campaign ‘vinspired’, approached Radio Lollipop Bristol about the volunteering work we do in the Royal Children’s Hospital. They asked whether any of our volunteers between the ages of 18-25 would be willing to be part of a short film (made by a filmmaker but mainly by young volunteers). The purpose of the film was to promote volunteering in a positive light to young people, and will be shown in schools, colleges and the local Connextions centre. Two of our volunteers kindly agreed to be part of it, and special thanks go to Ellie Harris and Gemma Foster. A couple of months after the filming, we were invited to a special screening of the finished film at the Watershed Media Centre in Bristol and were all really pleased with the results!
