On Tuesday night, star of The Beano comic, Dennis The Menace, made a special visit to the ward. Accompanied by the volunteers of Radio Lollipop (Dundee), Dennis visited all the kids sharing some Christmas cheer by giving every child a present.
Dennis quickly made friends with the kids (and staff) on the ward and many posed to have their photo taken with him.
Murray (6), pictured with the volunteers and staff in HDU, a big fan of Dennis, loved his visit and didnt want him to leave. But, too soon, after saying goodbye to all his new friends, Dennis had to go to bed.
Many thanks to DC Thompson (publishers of The Beano) who helped us arrange the visit from Dennis The Menace and kindly donated presents for the children on the ward. Also a huge thank you to the nurses on the ward and the Radio Lollipop volunteers, who all helped make the visit such a success.
