New phones for glasgow!
1 April 2003

British Telecom thinks ‘It’s Good To Talk’ – so much so that they awarded Radio Lollipop in Glasgow £225 to put towards a new telephone system.

The old system (also generously donated by BT) was installed after retiring from active service with BT when Radio Lollipop opened in Glasgow in 1992, but due to its age, it is becoming increasingly difficult to carry out any repairs on it.

George Williamson, a Glasgow volunteer is an employee of BT at its Internet Data Centre in Glasgow applied for the money through an internal Community Awards scheme.
