Uniform Free Day – 20 March 2013
13 February 2013

Perth’s Uniform Free Day will be held in 2013 on Wednesday 20 March.

For the 17th consecutive year, bus drivers across Perth, in Kalgoorlie, Dunsborough and Busselton will place Radio Lollipop collections tins on their bus. Passengers are asked for a donation on the day from bus drivers who are encouraged to exchange their regular uniform for costume. In addition, Public Transport Authority staff and Radio Lollipop volunteers will take to the streets of Perth to shake a tin and many Perth businesses and schools will also participate.

It is an important source of revenue for Radio Lollipop and the charity’s major fundraising event for Princess Margaret Hospital for Children and the six satellite hospitals throughout Western Australia. Proceeds from the event will enable us purchase books, craft and music, as well as maintain our radio program and continue to provide care, comfort, play and entertainment to the sick children of Western Australia.

Last year, more than $95,000 was raised from Uniform Free Day and with your support we will hit our $100,000 target in 2013. To fiUFD Transperth busnd out how you or your business can be involved, call the Radio Lollipop office on +61 8 9340 8835 or email melissa.dawes@radiolollipop.org.
