A marathon effort for the kids

Nick Bell ran the race of a lifetime when he entered the Melbourne marathon in October.
Nick’s wife Kate is a Manic Monday volunteer and best know to the children by her radio announcer persona called Bouncy Bear. So when Nick decided to run for a charity, there was no question that it would be Radio Lollipop.
Not only did Nick manage to raise $2,435 for sick children in hospital, but he managed to complete the marathon in under 4 hours! What a winner!
By all accounts, Nick got lots of cheers and support from the crowd whilst running in his Radio Lollipop singlet, no doubt from the growing number of supporters Radio Lollipop is gaining from our very first service that is soon to be launched at the Monash Hospital.
Nick and Kate we sincerely thank you for your incredible support and generosity. Radio Lollipop will put these funds to many great things that will add to the smiles we see at the Mater and Logan Hospitals.
