The 26th Prime Minister of Australia received a rock star welcome from the children and our team of excited volunteers when he visited Radio Lollipop at the Mater Children’s Hospital in Brisbane.

Mr Rudd visited some of children on the wards and even brought a gift for a child by the name of Tom who happened to be celebrating his 10th birthday in hospital that day. It was then over to the playroom to craft up a storm with the kids, followed by a very serious radio interview with Penelope Passport where he announced to all the children that his favourite flavoured ice-cream is chocolate on chocolate!

After a grueling 20 minute interview with Radio Lollipop DJ Penelope Passport, Mr Rudd turned the tables by asking some tricky questions of his own…
