Brisbane bullets basketball player craig bradshaw visits radio lollipop brisbane
12 February 2008

It was a fun night on the wards last night when Brisbane Bullets Forward/Centre Craig Bradshaw came into Radio Lollipop to visit the children. Last week the Brisbane Bullets donated over 1000 Bullets Beanie Bears to Radio Lollipop. Craig was able to give all the children he met on the wards a Bullets Beanie Bear. The children were thrilled to receive such a wonderful gift and to meet a celebrity.

Craig who stands at 210 cm tall (check out the photo) was a hit with the children who loved to High-Five with him and have their photo taken. There were a couple of dads who had left for the evening who are going to be very envious when they hear their children had met Craig. The children in 7 West also had an opportunity to sink a few baskets with Craig which they really enjoyed. One young girl in 7 South who was talking on the phone when we arrived made the caller wait while she had her photo taken with Craig and then began to brag to the caller that Craig was visiting and he had given her a present. The Doctors and Nurses were also keen to meet Craig. Craig also won a few hearts from the volunteers, the craft for the night was making roses for Valentine ‘s Day and he was given a rose by one of our volunteers…

Craig is from Wellington, New Zealand and is playing his first season with the Brisbane Bullets who are currently 3rd on the ladder as they head into the finals. Radio Lollipop would like to thank Eddy, Jeff, Narelle, Emma and Craig for their continued support of Radio Lollipop and we wish them every success in the finals.
