Star wars returns to radio lollipop brisbane
31 January 2008

Radio Lollipop Adopt-a-Cop Nathan Vaughan arranged for the Star Wars Storm Troopers and a Clone to come in and visit the children at the Mater Children’s Hospital.

The Storm Troopers and Clone are from the 501st Legion. The Legion is a volunteer club formed to bring together costume enthusiasts and give them a collective identity within which to operate. The Legion’s aims are to celebrate the Star Wars movies through the wearing of costumes, to promote the quality and improvement of costumes and props, and most importantly to contribute to the local community through charity and volunteer work…

They certainly contributed to Radio Lollipop Brisbane, the majority of our children loved the visit although some of our littler ones were a little unsure about it all.

We sincerely thank our Adopt-a-Cop Nathan and volunteer Jaye for organizing the event and for the characters taking the time to come in and brighten (or frighten) the stay of a sick child in hospital.
