Uniform Free Day

Uniform Free Day 2020 – 11 March 2020
17 February 2020

Every March, thousands of bus drivers, Transperth staff, volunteers, businesses and schools join forces for a good cause, to raise money for Radio Lollipop.  This year marks the 25th anniversary of this important community event; the major fundraiser for our charity in Western Australia.

Uniform Free Day is an annual highlight for our volunteers and we are asking everyone to get involved this year and help us celebrate 25 years of the generosity of giving.

Radio Lollipop volunteers provide a radio and play program at Perth Children’s Hospital and across eight other hospitals in Western Australia.  Our volunteers give a sense of normality to children in hospital and a very welcome distraction to what is often a traumatic experience for the whole family.
Every donation makes a difference for our volunteers, our programming and our mission to reach every child in hospital across the State.

From the genesis of one Perth driver 25 years ago, Uniform Free Day has grown to become an essential source of revenue and a very valuable community campaign generating awareness of Radio Lollipop and building support for the work our volunteers do every day to brighten the lives of children in hospital.  Funds raised from this year’s event will keep our music on air, broadcasting live to children around the State, providing games and craft supplies and assisting with licensing, internet and insurance costs.

Every donation makes a different and your support on Uniform Free Day would be much appreciated.
