Ollie’s our boy lollipop

Singer Ollie Garland, 17 made some new fans when he visited poorly yougsters at Southampton General Hospital as part of his Lollipop wide tour.

Dubbed Britain’s answer to Justin Bieber, Ollie sang his new single Dry Your Eyes which is raising money for Radio Lollipop as well as treating his audience to several well known covers and a special encore for the nurses who narrowly missed seeing the star perform.

The teenage singing sensation, who has performed with Ed Sheeran, was inspired to release the single after seeing his cousin pay numerous visits to hospital while they were growing up. He said: “I felt I wanted to do something in return.”

Martin Day, chairman of Radio Lollipop Southampton added: “We are delighted to have such a talented young artist coming to see us.”
