Abc learning centres continue supporting radio lollipop australia
23 January 2008

For more than a year now the staff from ABC Learning Centre have been donating their time to support Radio Lollipop Queensland.

Under the leadership of Loryn Feeney, Business Development Manager for the National Institute of Early Childhood Education, Lead Trainer Rebecca Freier and her team of qualified trainers designed play training for all the Queensland based Radio Lollipop volunteers. The two sessions were a huge success with volunteers learning new skills and activities that they can use when playing with the children on the wards.

In addition to this training the team arranged for their suppliers to donate craft items, toys, puzzles, books, CDs, tapes and lots of other items to Radio Lollipop.

As you can see by the photo Mr Bear from ABC came in to present the goodies to National Support Team volunteer Sandra Ursino and the Terrific Tuesday team. Mr Bear also took time to visit the children on the wards.

A huge thank you to Eddy, Loryn, Beck and all the team from ABC Learning Centres who really help make a difference to the lives of sick children in hospital.
