Newcastle model new welcome packs at kingston park fete

The Newcastle team were out this weekend sharing the news of their recent lottery grant and sporting a range of merchandise that they are giving away to children in hospital.

Kingston Park Primary School’s summer fete is now a regulr event on our calendar and it gave us the perfect opportunity to show off our new range of branded items.

Fundraiser Kate Fenwick said “we are proud that the lottery realised how important this project is and we are pleased to publicise their involvement in buying the merchandise for the children.

People were keen to donate to further support our work.”

Demi lovato rock’s houston!

Camp Rock star Demi Lovato made a surprise visit to Texas Children’s Hospital Friday afternoon. Fans often call in and request songs from her hit album Don’t Forget, now they will not forget the exciting afternoon with this talented artist. The studio was buzzing as fans anxiously awaited her arrival. The room was electrified with excitement and one could almost hear the screams for miles as Disney Channel’s newest Princess Demi Lovato entered the Houston studio. Just one week to the day of the debut of the new Disney Channel movie Princess Protection Program she lit up the airwaves answering questions from beaming fans. The Texas Native was delighted to visit and wasn’t shy when asked about her favorite food, it’s queso of course! It’s not by chance that some lucky fans received a smooch from the Sonny With a Chance star.

All agreed it was a great way to kick off the Independence Holiday weekend. We were ecstatic to have her join the Radio Lollipop crew!

Mckenzie returns to the gold coast hospital

McKenzie Comer returned to the Gold Coast Hospital on July 1st, bringing smiles to the children with her beautiful voice.

At just 12 years, it is clear that McKenzie has a great future ahead of her! She sang songs by artists Delta Goodrem and Taylor Swift to an enthralled audience in the Radio Lollipop playroom. As she started singing, little heads popped round the corner and came to join the performance as McKenzie’s gorgeous voice carried down the hallway.

Afterwards McKenzie joined us on the radio, with a special interview about her favourite things by good friend Bella. When we asked McKenzie what she would do if she won the lottery, she replied that she would travel over to L.A to pursue her singing and acting career.

We thank McKenzie for coming in to see the children and we know that her songs had a healing effect on many of us!
