In the early 90s, Radio Lollipop had a station based on Ward 25 at Frenchay Hospital in Bristol.  In 1992, John Baker of Weston-Super-Mare made a special stained glass window for the room which celebrated BBC’s Children in Need and featured the iconic Pudsey Bear.

The window was rescued following the closure of Frenchay Hospital and thanks to members of the local community it has been restored to its former glory and given to Frenchay Village Museum where it is now on display to the public.

A big thank you to Frenchay Village Museum, Roy Oaten, Richard Thomas and Jeff Feltham for supporting this project and preserving a piece of Radio Lollipop history.

If you would like to see the window the museum is located just inside Entrance “B” of Frenchay Hospital.  It is open Wednesdays 1pm to 4pm and Saturdays and Sundays 2pm to 5pm.  Admission is free.
