Radio lollipop (glasgow) valentines ball

Together we’ve got it licked!

Along with the doctors and nurses Radio Lollipop plays an important part in the recovery process of a child when they are in Yorkhill Hospital. The radio station keeps their spirits up and provides them with a valuable source of entertainment. Radio Lollipop is entirely staffed by volunteers and relies on charitable donations to keep the station going each year.

This year Radio Lollipop will be hosting a Valentine’s fund raising ball on Friday 11th February in Glasgow and we would like to encourage you to support the charity by taking a table. Show them how much you care this Valentines day and help support the biggest Valentine’s celebration in Scotland and also make a difference in the life of a child today.

On Friday 11th February 2011, at the Grand Central Hotel in Glasgow, Yorkhill Hospital’s Radio Lollipop is bringing you a unique opportunity to celebrate Valentines Day and raise funds to help ease the suffering of sick children in Scotland.

Prices for this great event are as follows:

Simply health provide funding for radio lollipop, bristol

On Wednesday the 3rd November, Simply Health came to the Hospital to present Radio Lollipop, Bristol with a £5000 cheque, a charitable grant that we successfully applied for.

It will fund arts, crafts, Christmas and Easter fun weeks, outdoor toys for next summer as well as to create welcome packs for people who visit the play room so that they can take colouring packs and information about Radio Lollipop back to the wards with them.

We are hugely grateful to Simply Health and were pleased to show them round the hospital to demonstrate the benefits that their help will provide to the children and their families. Here we all are posing with some arts and crafts!
