Johnston rorke make a sick child smile day

The team at Johnston Rorke recently got behind their new HR Manager and Radio Lollipop Director, Sandra Ursino to raise funds for Radio Lollipop’s Make a Sick Child Smile Day.

The theme of the casual dress day was red, white or bright. Most of the 125 staff chose to wear red or white (the Radio Lollipop colours) and some wore bright clothes that would certainly Make a Sick Child Smile. Someone dressed up as Superman (well done Hayley) which certainly made the staff smile, someone else Red Riding Hood (Thanks Nat) and someone else dressed up as the fairy princess and gave magic wishes to everyone who donated.

The staff at Johnston Rorke were extremely generous raising over $466 for Radio Lollipop. Check out just a few of the team.

Gold coast united visit the kids at gold coast hospital

The anticipation was felt long before the fabulous boys from Gold Coast United team even arrived at the Radio Lollipop Studio at Gold Coast Hospital. The kids were so excited to meet the team and so were a lot of the parents.

The Radio Lollipop Studio was overflowing with people as the team arrived. Patients, siblings, parents and hospital staff were excited to meet the boys. The boys got straight into the games playing Table Tennis, Foosball, Jenga and UNO with the kids. A couple of the boys even had a go at helping the kids with butterfly masks, our craft activity for the night. What talent we saw!

As the night went on there was some dancing to the Macarena by some of the kids and our Radio Lollipop Volunteers, followed by the boys doing handprints and signings. Some of the kids were very excited to do their handprints and even more excited to have them signed by Gold Coast United. They will treasure these forever.

Thank you so much Gold Coast United for visiting the children at Radio Lollipop Gold Coast. We always have a ball when you visit and hope to see you again very soon.
