A huge thank you to Burleigh Masonic Bowls Club for raising an incredible $1000 for Radio Lollipop Gold Coast.

The club very kindly decided to make Radio Lollipop one of their special charities they donate to each year. We really appreciate this very generous gift to Radio Lollipop and the money will go towards buying craft, games and other vital supplies for the children to enjoy at Radio Lollipop Gold Coast.

Not only a fantastic donation but Bert Lyster, member of the club, also shares his time and energy with the children every week as a ward visiting volunteer and as our very own Radio Lollipop Magician.

Thank you for bringing so many smiles to the children, their siblings and parents through your magic and time given to Radio Lollipop.

A big thank you goes out to Bert, Bruce and all of the Burleigh Masonic Bowls Club and we look forward to many more magical visits from Bert.

Radio Lollipop volunteers in Edinburgh were celebrating the tremendous efforts of the Hilton Edinburgh Grosvenor recently with two cycling teams completing challenges in aid of the charity and raising £1930 .77 so far with money still pouring in all the time.

The Hilton staff completed a sponsored cycle for Radio Lollipop as part of th…eir Around the World held event on 26th June. This year was bigger and better with 1 team of 4 cycling from Hilton Dundee to the Edinburgh Grosvenor and the other team of 4 cycling from Hilton Dunkeld House to Edinburgh Grosvenor – the race was on!

The teams were welcomed back by volunteers from Radio Lollipop at the Hilton Grosvenor with both teams completing their cycles in 12½ hours.

Neil Mcshee from Hilton team 1 said:
‘The best point of the day was coming out of the wooded area after Crossgates and seeing the Forth Road Bridge, my thoughts were; there is light at the end of the tunnel. I can’t say that I will ever try that again!’
