Mad hatters high tea a smashing success

The Super Saturday Team catered a magnificent Mad Hatters High Tea in a bid to raise much needed funds for the children and the Mater Hospital.

The girls are renowned for their baking skills and didn’t disappoint with an array of sweet and savoury dishes to satisfy the taste buds of the 80 guests.

The girls carefully crafted their own hats and table centerpieces, as well as baking all the delicious food on offer.

A special thank you to Rona, Marco and Gwen Zorzetto who very generously hosted the event and in particular to Rona for making the very amazing Mad Hatter cake you can see in the team photo. Thanks also to Pash Jewellery for donating a fresh water pearl necklace for our raffle which helped us raise a total of $4,500 on the day.

Congratulations to the Super Saturday Team for this incredible effort. Not only did you manage to raise important funds for Radio Lollipop, but you managed to cater an entire event without smashing a single plate!

Brisbane shows support for radio lollipop

Over 100 volunteers and their friends came out in force to help raise over $15,000 on Lollipop Day in Brisbane.

Lollipops and smiles were traded for gold coin donations over three big days on the 13, 14 and 15 October.

Our amazing volunteers went to enourmous efforts to make this our most successful Lollipop Day ever, and to each and everyone who donated we want to thank you for your support. We rely on the good will of our local community so we can continue to support sick children and their families in hospital, and Brisbane did not let us down!

Thanks to our Brisbane volunteers and supporters, the funds raised from this years event will help purcahse craft supplies, colouring books and much needed Welcome Pack supplies. We know the difference this will make to the thousands of children we will see over the next 12 months, so thank you again to everyone for your support!

Radio lollipop adopt-a-cop visits radio lollipop gold coast

Eeeeee, orrrr, eeeeee, orrrrr police sirens were heard around the hallways of the Paediatric Ward of Gold Coast Hospital our Police Officers for Radio Lollipop’s Adopt-a-Cop’s Kylie and Dave. The sound travelled the wards to visit the unsuspecting children in a cardboard police car.

Adopt-a-Cop Constables, Kylie Brasell-Dellow & David Paddok, entertained the children bringing with them many goodies and cute teddy bears. It was great to have Dave and Kylie visit the children at Radio Lollipop Gold Coast. Thank you so much for taking the time out of crime fighting to put smiles on children’s faces at the Gold Coast Hospital.
