Ollie Garland arrived in Edinburgh on Friday 3rd August. He was interviewed live on air, and sang ‘Dry Your Eyes’ before going around the hospital, singing and performing personal requests to children by their bedside. We had rarely seen so many smiles from children, parents……and nurses, as a silence hushed across the wards (and some not so dry eyes!…..emotional moments).

He also came on the road with us on Saturday, performing on the Roadshow stage to a crowd who loved it.

Ollie’s single ‘Dry Your Eyes’ is available on Itunes for only 79p with all proceeds going to Radio Lollipop. Thanks again Ollie, you have loads of new fans in Edinburgh.

On 01/08/12 Ollie Garland launched his single “Dry Your Eyes” at a special gig at the O2 Bristol Academy.

The event was attended by about 70 young Ollie fans, patients from the Bristol Royal Hospital for Children and Radio Lollipop Bristol Volunteers.

The event kicked off at 2pm with our very own Sally Prescott talking about Radio Lollipop and thanking Ollie for writing “Dry Your Eyes” especially for us.

Ollie then did a set of his songs and some cover versions, finishing with “Dry Your Eyes”, which got the biggest cheer of the afternoon.

Later in the evening Ollie came to visit Radio Lollipop Bristol to sing live during our show and went out on to the wards to visit some patients.
