A fantastic day was had by all, with funds raise by a samosa and cake sale and a raffle to staff to round off the day! Thank you to all at Legal & General to help us raise just under £1000! Jay Bailey-Stephenson (Legal & General Communications and CSR Consultant) agreed that the day had been a great success and said ‘we look forward to doing something again with Radio Lollipop in the near future’.

Av dept ltd help radio lollipop edinburgh with sms text service.

AVD has generously provided a SMS text service to Radio Lollipop Edinburgh.
It helps our listeners connect to the Radio Lollipop studio and make a request via our SMS Text service (Deletext).
Radio Lollipop provides live music, play and comfort to the Sick Kids Hospital in Edinburgh. The SMS service allows the children to make a request to the studio from their bed and also means parents can send a request from outside the hospital. All they have to do is text the word ‘studio’ followed by their request to the short code 80010. The request comes up on the radio email system.
Mark popped along the other day to see how the station operated….. we gave him an impromptu interview and insisted we took a photo!
He was wearing his awesome Hawaiian ‘Radio’ shirt which is covered in colour full Bakelite radio sets from the 40′s and 50′s. He said “It seemed appropriate at the time!”.
