Radio Lollipop at PMH has a visit from some real Superheroes

Superman and Ironman 2 Lachlan - Batman Grace and Erin Eliesha Minions Caitlyn Batman 2

Radio Lollipop at Princess Margaret Hospital recently had a visit from some real superheros. Joining Batman, Superman and Iron Man in our studio were caped Superwomen together with some Minions and Olaf, the snowman from Frozen.

Our grateful thanks go out to Network 10 Perth for providing the technology and the background images to make this experience possible. It’s really great for the children to get away from their beds for a while and escape from the day to day experience of the hospital to enjoy playing and using their imagination to have fun.

Radio Lollipop at PMH has a visit from X-Factor Star Sydnee Carter

RL at Princess Margaret Hospital was lucky to have a visit from X-Factor contestant and 2014 runner up Sydnee Carter on recently. Sydnee came into the studio to perform a couple of songs on the radio and then spent time visiting some kids on the wards, signing autographs and giving away copies of her CD.
This is a video of Sydnee performing the Vance Joy song ‘Riptide’ with fellow guitarist/singer/songwriter Madison.
Thankyou so much Sydnee for visiting us and being so generous with your time. We would love to see you again!

Radio Lollipop Newcastle and the GNCH 5th Birthday party

Radio Lollipop Newcastle were proud to support the Great North Children’s Hospital in the RVI Newcastle at their 5th birthday party.  When the GNCH opened they never had an “official” ceremony so the staff came up with the idea of a huge 5th Birthday party and invited RL Newcastle to provide the entertainment and announcements.  The sunshine fairy came along on the day and the weather was glorious which helped everyone enjoy themselves.

Our RL stand was next door to the demonstration area for Jean Christophe Novelli who is a Michelin starred chef and he kept popping into our tent for a chat and was very interested in what we do both locally and worldwide – he was more than happy to have his photo taken with anyone and was so good with the kids, even giving one of our regulars a signed cookery book (one delighted teenager).  Lots of happy Lollipoppers too.
