Carpe Noctem Events supports Radio Lollipop Brisbane

The team from Carpe Noctem Events recently held a fun-filled 1920’s themed night with guests sifting through clues to guess “who done it?” at The Landing Dockside. The night raised over $3,800 for Radio Lollipop Brisbane.
Master of ceremonies, the infamous Detective Moseby ran the event with performers acting out scenes, clues and characters for the attendees to help decipher and win the game! All attendees had the opportunity to dress as 1920’s flappers and gangsters and were given character profiles prior to the night. All the guests were suspects in the murder and it was their duty to prove their innocence and solve the crime!

There were photo booths and professional photographers taking photos throughout the night, check out Radio Lollipop Brisbane Chairperson Melissa Dixon and Fundraising Co-ordinator Ashleigh Boutell with the Carpe Noctem Events team.

Thank you to the Carpe Noctem Events team for their support of Radio Lollipop Brisbane.

BBC Radio Bristol visits Radio Lollipop Bristol

Bristol Radio Lollipop volunteers were very excited to have a special guest visit them for National Volunteers Week.

To celebrate Volunteers Week, this year Bristol Radio Lollipop invited John Darvall from BBC Radio Bristol to the Bristol Royal Hospital for Children to tell him what Radio Lollipop is all about.

BBC Radio Bristol’s John Darvall came on Wednesday 5th June to meet our incredible team.

Bristol Radio Lollipop volunteers were very excited to tell him all about a typical day as a Radio Lollipop volunteer and could not wait to show him where all the fun happens!

Volunteers, from Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday night, DJ Geminem, Kia, DJ Rich and Vikki were interviewed and all spoke about how they got involved with Radio Lollipop, what their fondest memories have been and their volunteering experiences.

Lauren, our Tuesday night volunteer, gave the BBC presenter the grand tour around our playroom, studio and back-garden.

To top things off we even managed to get John Darvall on air, in our studio with DJ Rich.

Do not miss our volunteers speak about how Radio Lollipop rocks! To listen tune in to BBC Radio Bristol on Friday 7th June from 10:45am-11:15am.

Adam & Company help launch The Radio Lollipop Annual Ball

100_1094

The Radio Lollipop (Edinburgh) Annual  Ball is coming , and you don’t want to be late. It is a very, very important date!  This year’s fantastic theme is ‘The Mad Hatter Ball’, inspired by the Alice in Wonderland stories created by Lewis Carroll . It is going to be a magical night, and the initial sparks of magic were conjured up last night.

Sponsors of this year’s Annual Ball launch were Adam and Company. Along with LEWIS Creative Consultants, whose design services were lovingly created for the event, local and national companies were invited along to Adam & Company’s beautiful surroundings located in the heart of Edinburgh overlooking St Andrew Square.

This year sees Radio Lollipop hold their  7th annual ball,  taking place on Friday 4th October at The Roxburgh Hotel, Charlotte Square in Edinburgh.  It is a unique and wonderfully fun experience for all those who attend, whilst at the same time raising funds for the invaluable work of the children’s charity. This sole event has raised over £70,000 since 2007.

Current and past supporters of the ball, Balfour Beatty, Capital Solutions, Edinburgh Property Services (ESPC), Edinburgh Computer Services (ECS), Ora Ceramics, and  Thomson Gray enjoyed refreshments and canapés kindly served by the hosts, as the Ball Team introduced the unique opportunity to attend this year’s event.

This year we can expect the usual high quality, eating and drinking, fun and entertainment with a few surprises along the way, which is sure to have everyone that attends grinning like Cheshire cats.

For more information, including details of the event, how you or your company can provide support, and to confirm your attendance, please visit our event website: http://rldo.radiolollipop.org/edinburghball/
