Bankmecu donates Christmas gifts to Radio Lollipop

A belated thank you to for the Bankmecu’s Christmas toy donation to Radio Lollipop which put smiles on the faces of many children who spent the holiday season at the Lady Cilento Children’s Hospital in Brisbane.

The Christmas toy donation project, established two years ago by the team at Bankmecu in St Lucia, involved staff generously donating gifts to Radio Lollipop last Christmas, which brought joy and excitement to the children in hospital. The gifts were a wonderful Christmas surprise to the children and their families during a difficult time.

Radio Lollipop is grateful to the team at Bankmecu and would especially like to thank Branch Supervisor Charmaine Boughen and her husband Gary Boughen, who volunteers as a technical consultant with Radio Lollipop, for organising the Christmas project and delivering the gifts to Radio Lollipop.

St George Bank Supports Radio Lollipop Western Australia

St George Bank in Queensland have been long time supporters of Radio Lollipop in Queensland. St George have provided lots of competition prizes, beannie dragons and a host of other giveaways for the Radio Lollipop volunteers to give away to sick children in hospital.

Happy Dragon has also been a regular visitor to Radio Lollipop in Brisbane bringing some of his friends from the ‘Queensland Reds’ Rugby Team along with him to put some smiles on the faces of not only sick children in hospital but their families and friends who are visiting.

This year, Ross Gillam, Head of Retail Banking QLD/WA spread his generosity across Australia and pledged to support Radio Lollipop in Western Australia too. True to his word, this week, Radio Lollipop Director, Sandra Ursino collected 100 St George gift bags for our Radio Lollipop volunteers to give away to sick children who need a little treat when times are tough in hospital.

On behalf of all our Radio Lollipop volunteers in Queensland and Western Australia, thank you St George for your continued support, so we can continue our work putting smiles on the face of sick children in hospital.
