St George Bank Supports Radio Lollipop Western Australia

St George Bank in Queensland have been long time supporters of Radio Lollipop in Queensland. St George have provided lots of competition prizes, beannie dragons and a host of other giveaways for the Radio Lollipop volunteers to give away to sick children in hospital.

Happy Dragon has also been a regular visitor to Radio Lollipop in Brisbane bringing some of his friends from the ‘Queensland Reds’ Rugby Team along with him to put some smiles on the faces of not only sick children in hospital but their families and friends who are visiting.

This year, Ross Gillam, Head of Retail Banking QLD/WA spread his generosity across Australia and pledged to support Radio Lollipop in Western Australia too. True to his word, this week, Radio Lollipop Director, Sandra Ursino collected 100 St George gift bags for our Radio Lollipop volunteers to give away to sick children who need a little treat when times are tough in hospital.

On behalf of all our Radio Lollipop volunteers in Queensland and Western Australia, thank you St George for your continued support, so we can continue our work putting smiles on the face of sick children in hospital.

Local Hero Supports Radio Lollipop

On Saturday 22 November 2014, Radio Lollipop WA Chairperson, Tony Williamson and Radio Lollipop Charity Coordinator, Melissa Sparta-Dawes were very fortunate to attend the World Kickboxing Association Sanctioned Fight Night hosted by Murray & Justin from Kalamunda Kickboxing to watch Goran Utijesinovic step into the ring after 10 years of retirement to raise funds for Radio Lollipop. Goran has been fundraising for the past 6 weeks and raised $11,000 which we think is an amazing effort! On behalf of Radio Lollipop WA, thank you and your supporters for supporting Radio Lollipop, your donation will put smiles on many faces.

Girl Guides WA Support Radio Lollipop

Girl Guides WA was an important contributor to starting up Radio Lollipop at PMH 29 years ago by holding many fundraising events.  29 Years ago they raised a massive $36,825 to purchase equipment to set up our very first Radio Lollipop in WA.

To celebrate their centenary of guiding in WA from the 28th June 2014 – 29th June 2015, the Girl Guides will be providing Radio Lollipop WA, 1000 stationery / activity packs over the next 12 month period.

Thank you Girl Guides WA! You should feel very proud of this wonderful commitment which will be sure to bring many more smiles from the sick children in WA hospitals.
